What is meditation?
Meditation is the act of consciously directing your attention to alter your state of consciousness or to achieve calmness. The most popular meditation technique used to manage stress and anxiety is Transcendental Meditation.

What is the purpose of meditation?
Other than uses that stem from traditional and spiritual beliefs, it is used to find a deep state of relaxation and stress relief. Research on Transcendental Meditation has shown that it can bring about a generalized reduction in multiple physiological and biochemical markers that are associated with high levels of stress.
